I have a confession to make to you that some could consider controversial…


I will only eat Oreo cookies if they’re coated in chocolate. If not coated, I’m not interested. Logical, no. Delicious, yes.


For Valentine’s Day, you could serve your love a plate of ruby chocolate dipped Oreos with raspberry toppers. (Also perfect for breast cancer awareness because they kind of look like boobies.)


You can use any kind of chocolate and top with festive candy to celebrate any holiday. I did dark chocolate with sugar Christmas trees for a holiday party. Such a fun, crowd-pleasing treat for all ages. Plus, this is such an easy recipe! Almost foolproof.

Ingredients

  • 24 Oreo cookies
  • 6 oz. chocolate (broken into chunks)
  • 24 fresh berries or pieces of candy (optional)
Instructions

Break up desired chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Melt in the microwave. Heat in 30 second intervals until melted. Careful not to burn the chocolate.
Using two forks, dip and coat the Oreo cookie until cookie and cream covered with layer of chocolate. Set on parchment lined cookie sheet. Top with a fresh berry or piece of candy and let chocolate set at room temperature. You can pop sheet in fridge to speed up setting process. Enjoy!
