Simple Air Fryer Apple Topper
Do you love oatmeal? I eat it year round but especially enjoy it in the Fall, and apple picking yesterday meant making this simple topper for oatmeal for the first time of the season! 🤗 Not a fan of oatmeal, this is amazing on top of a big bowl of vanilla ice cream too 😉
We picked honeycrisp yesterday, but feel free to use any apple variety you like
Slice in half, cut out the core, then dice in small cubes. For one serving I used 1/2 an apple
Place cubes on a piece of tin foil that will fit in your air fryer
Spray apples with avocado oil and give them a good sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice
Add a few nuts of choice, I only had pumpkin seeds on hand (which I love and are so good for you!) but almonds and/or walnuts are delicious in this
Sprinkle over the apples
Place in air fryer basket and cook for 9 minutes at 425
Then top your oatmeal or ice cream, I enjoy this over cottage cheese also!
