After the success of my yogurt jar cake, I have been experimenting with other yogurt baked goods that can be made using a yogurt jar. These muffins can be vegan if made with dairy-free yogurt too, as no eggs are necessary and they are so soft and delicious you won't believe it. They are sure to be loved by everyone!

Other flavours can also be made, such as vanilla muffins or bluberries. You can change the flavour of the yogurt too to make them even more tasty. Super easy to make with the kids too, as no scales are needed. Perfect as a rainy day activity!

  • 1 small jar of plain yoghurt equivalent to 1/2 cup (dairy-free also works well)
  • 1 jar sunflower oil
  • 1 jar milk (soy, oat or almond milk also work)
  • 1 jar sugar
  • 2 jars self raising flour
  • 1 bar of dark chocolate (150g/5.3oz)
  • 1 handful of chocolate chips

Empty the yogurt jar in a bowl then use the same to measure up all other ingredients. Add to the same bowl the oil and milk and mix.
Slowly incorporate the sugar and flour.
Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave (careful not to burn it) and mix in with the rest of the ingredients.
Lastly, fold in the chocolate chips.
Transfer to muffin molds and bake for 25 minutes at 350F
Let them cool on a grid before enjoying.

You reference " jars" for ingredients. How much is in a jar? There are many choices of amounts. Could you please clarify

    Thank you

Hi. Thanks for your question. I explained what I mean by a jar in the first item of the ingredients, where a jar is approximately the size of half a cup, so you could use that measurement instead of jars if you prefer.Hope that helps
