Game Controller Pull Apart “cake” “Jersey Girl Knows Best”
Okay, I am sure by now you know what a pull apart “cake” is…no? Well it’s a bunch of cupcakes put together, frosted to to look like a cake and then you pull each cupcake apart to eat them! No cutting required! This is great for kids! They love it🥳. Ready?! Let’s do this!
Let’s start off by “dry” positioning our cupcakes to create the right shape.
I used some left over icing to adhere the cupcakes to the tray. Do Not use the whipped topping for this step. I did at first and the cupcakes just slide around 🤦🏻♀️
I created an outline first with the Cool Whip topping using a piping bag.
Here we filled it all in!
It’s time to smooth it all out! I used a offset spatula to get this as level as possible.
I added some food coloring to a small amount of Cool Whip to match my theme. (Mint green, white & gold) Now it’s time to decorate the buttons for the Game Controller.
The ombré gold sugar sprinkles did not turn out as well as I hoped, but I don’t think the kids cared one bit😆 They loved all the frosting on top and the fact that it was a game controller and a little messy to eat! I hope you enjoyed my adventure on this pull apart cake 🧁 🎂
