Easy French Chocolate Cake

fall means baking for me. Fall means warm cake, coffee and cozy weekends. That’s why today I’m sharing the most easy and delicate chocolate cake you can make. The French moelleux au chocolat means a very soft and rich chocolate cake. It’s the same ingredients and way to make a lava cake the difference is that you bake longer this cake. It made of a real chocolate no cocoa here. You will need to use some techniques such as Bain Mari or water bath to melt the chocolate and the butter. I will explain that quickly because the steps are very simple if you follow them correctly. Also I’m sure you can melt the butter and the chocolate in the microwave just do it by 30 seconds each time until it’s completely melted otherwise it can burn.

for more interesting decoration, sprinkle some powdered sugar on the top just to give it this festive look or add some half walnuts for a fall look.

Ingredients


  • . 4 oz sugar
  • . 3 oz flour
  • . 7 oz baking chocolate chips
  • . 5 oz unsalted butter
  • . 6 eggs room temperature

Instructions


preheat the oven at 350F
melt the butter and the chocolate in the water bath (Bain Mari)
Ones melted remove from the heat and whisk in to the sugar, the flour and the eggs one at a time
grease a 9 inch pan with butter and bake for 40 minutes or until the tip of the knife is dry.

Tips

  • Serve with vanilla ice cream.
