This simple apple cake recipe will have you in and out of the kitchen in no time! While the cake may not look all that fancy, the taste will not disappoint you!

Using one bowl and 10 basic ingredients (9 if you exclude the nuts) you will have yourself a treat any apple love will devour.


The best part about baking this cake is that no mixer is required! Just simply mix the ingredients by hand. Now that’s my kind of baking – easy peasy!!

Serve this apple cake warm topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream or you can serve it with powdered sugar sprinkled lightly over the top. It is also quite tasty after being refrigerated if in fact there are any leftovers to refrigerate.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup cooking oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 medium apples sliced thin (variety of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions

Beat eggs well.
Add in remaining ingredients and except apples and mix well
Add in the apples and mix lightly
Add in the nuts (optional)
Spread mixture in 9 x 13 greased pan
Bake for 1 hour
