As much as we love bananas in our house there always seem to be a few we don’t get to eat before they start looking a bit too ripe. I’m sure you can relate! So, without a doubt, the best thing to do is freeze the bananas until I’m ready to bake this simple banana bread recipe.

This recipe is yet another family favorite from a recipe book my mom created many years ago.

Best Type Of Pans for Baking This Banana Bread

Most often I will use a traditional loaf pan or bread pan when baking this recipe. However, there have been occasions when I’ve used a cupcake pan for ease of sharing this delicious treat with the family.

You could also use this mini loaf pan if you were perhaps making it to give away as a gift. A fresh loaf of banana bread makes a wonderful gift during the holidays or even as part of a self-care gift basket.

Optional Ingredients You Can Add To This Recipe

.Spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, or cloves make a nice addition too

This article from Taste of Home shares some really amazing additions to banana bread.

I hope you enjoy the simplicity and deliciousness of this recipe as much as I do!
