As I try to curve my sweet tooth and be more mindful of daily sugar intake, I have found that classic go-to's - like banana bread - are just as satisfying even when the added sugars are removed, and yes that includes natural sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar, and date syrup. This bread is only sweetened with bananas so it is important to use really ripe bananas!

This banana bread is the perfect breakfast loaf or snack for when you don't want something too sweet that is loaded with added sugars. This pairs perfectly with peanut butter or for a sweeter twist that can satisfy your sweet tooth, I recommend getting a slice, and topping with peanut butter and a natural jam or even just some smashed raspberries!

I hope you enjoy this recipe! More recipes like this can be found on my site: www.sweetescapekitchen.com

The banana bread has a beautiful caramelized banana on top!

TIP - use binder clips to keep your parchment paper in place!

I like to cut a banana in half long way and top my banana bread with it! Also sprinkling cinnamon on top is a great addition!

I enjoy topping mine with peanut butter and hemp hearts!
