Who doesn't love fresh watermelon. I usually just cut it and make a fruit bowl. But sometimes for a change I do bend it and make ๐€๐ ๐ฎ๐š๐ฌ ๐…๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐œ๐š๐ฌ. After all itโ€™s always easier to drink than eat


It is a summer drink but my love for watermelon doesn't stop me from making it even during winters or any other season. So when ever I get my hands on watermelon, it is time for some ๐€๐ ๐ฎ๐š๐ฌ ๐…๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐œ๐š๐ฌ at home.


I also like to give it my personal touch by adding roasted cumin powder and Himalayan salt. If you want you can skip adding it. But I would suggest you to try once and let me know your feedback.

Ingredients

Watermelon Mint Agua Fresca

  • 6 cups cubed and seeded watermelon
  • 1/2 cup chilled water
  • 3 tbs lime juice
  • 1 lime sliced
  • 21-25 mint leaves + 6-12 mint leaves for garnishing
  • 1/4 cup sugar or according to your taste
  • 1 tbs roasted cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp himalayan salt
  • ice cubes (optional)

Instructions


In a pitcher or glass muddle lime wedges and mint leaves together and set aside.
Blend watermelon and water in batches.
Add sugar, lime juice, roasted cumin powder, himalayan salt and muddled lime wedges and mint leaves. Mix properly.
Strain the mixture.
Pour in glasses and garnish with mint leaves and ice cubes.

  • I have made this for years! I add a little jalapeรฑo to give it a kick . Sometimes I add rosemary and ginger. Itโ€™s whatever you like. Itโ€™s fun trying new things!!!
