How to make an apple crisp macchiato recipe. This is a delicious fall coffee recipe that you can make as an iced drink or a hot coffee drink. You can also make it sugar free or vegan depending on which ingredients you use.

This has an apple syrup that you can make and then keep in the fridge to make apple crisp macchiatos for several days. You can use Sverve brown sugar to make it a sugar free drink.

Ingredients
Apple Syrup Ingredients
  • 3 cups of apple cider or apple juice
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 sticks of cinnamon
Apple Crisp Macchiato Ingredients
  • 5 cups of warmed milk (or plant based milk)
  • 2 cups of strong coffee
  • 1 tbsp apple syrup
  • Honey or sugar to taste
Instructions
Hot Apple Crisp Macchiato Recipe
To make the apple syrup, place apple juice or apple cider, sweetener, and cinnamon sticks in a small pan. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the cinnamon sticks. Store in the fridge until ready to use.
Warm the milk of your choice in a medium sized pan. Add 1 tablespoon apple syrup.
Pour the warm milk into two cups. Add brewed coffee over the warmed milk.
Top with whipped cream and apple spice or cinnamon if desired. You can also drizzle a caramel sauce on top, but this may not be vegan or sugar free.
Iced Apple Crisp Macchiato Recipe
Place apple juice or apple cider, sweetener, and cinnamon sticks in a small pan. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the cinnamon sticks. Store in the fridge until ready to use. Let cool before making a healthy iced apple crisp macchiato recipe.
Fill a glass with ice. Fill half full with milk of your choice. Then add 1 tablespoon apple syrup and top with cold brew.

      I believe it was the part where I mentioned using Splenda brown sugar to reduce the sugar and calories and using almond milk or oat milk.

    I'm just wondering how it could be considered healthy if there is one cup of sugar in each serving?

      I'm not sure where you got 1 cup of sugar per serving. The syrup makes three cups total syrup with 1 cup of sugar. You then use 1 tablespoon of syrup for each serving. That cup of sugar makes 16 servings of syrup, and you can use Splenda brown sugar to further reduce the sugar.
