A spin on the traditional mimosa, this apple cider version is made with just two ingredients. The perfect combination of sweet and tart, this is one cocktail that’s sure to be a hit with your family and friends.

Ingredients For Two-Ingredient Apple Cider Mimosas

Apple Cider Mimosa

  • 1.5-oz. chilled apple cider
  • 4-oz. chilled champagne

Cinnamon-Sugar Rim and Garnish (optional)

  • 4 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • apple slices to garnish

How To Prepare Your Apple Cider Mimosas

To make an apple cider mimosa, started by preparing your glass. I love these elegant long-stemmed champagne flutes, but if you’re looking for a less-expensive (and non-breakable) option, these gold-rimmed plastic glasses are great too!

Rim The Glasses

First, make a cinnamon-sugar mixture. If I’m being honest, I typically eyeball my portions of each. (A habit I have that drives my husband nuts. Ha!)

But, if you’d like to be precise, a four parts sugar to one-part cinnamon ratio is a good rule of thumb to follow for your measurements.

Stir the cinnamon and sugar together until well combined, and then pour the mixture onto a small plate. Wet the rim of your champagne glass, dip it into the cinnamon and sugar and set aside.

Mix The Mimosas

Next, pour 1.5 ounces of chilled apple cider into the champagne glass. Then top the cider with 4 ounces of chilled champagne.

I used Cook’s Brut champagne because of its affordability, but any champagne brand will work.

Add The Garnish

Finally, to finish your apple cider mimosa garnish with a fresh sliced apple. And that’s it. Easy, peasy, right?

Can You Make A Non-Alcoholic Mimosa?

Yes! You can absolutely change up the recipe to make it more family-friendly! To make a non-alcoholic version of these two-ingredient apple cider mimosas, simply replace the champagne with some non-alcoholic sparkling wine, club soda, or even ginger ale.
