Blackberry Gin Fizz
Like many of you, we are trying out new cocktails while stuck at home for the foreseeable future. Phillip and I decided to make some yummy Blackberry Gin Fizz cocktails the other weekend to mix it up. While beer or wine are easy to grab, it’s always the same old with those drinks. These drinks take a few minutes to create, but the results are worth it!
When Phillip was telling me he wanted to make this, I was on board as I am a big gin lover. However when he mentioned that we needed to use egg whites, well. I’m not going to lie, I was a little reluctant. Then he made these cocktails for us and I was blown away. It was creamy, yet fizzy, and just the right amount of sweet. Now that I know Phillip can make these so well he’s in trouble. I have been requesting he make them more frequently than I should.
Gin Fizz’s can be made a variety of ways. The classic Gin Fizz is delicious of course. But if you have some fresh berries in the fridge my suggestion is to muddle them up and add to this cocktail. We chose blackberries and they have been the winner. Raspberries have been a close second however. We do highly recommend Hendricks as your choice of gin from your selection. Maybe it’s the Scottish in me making that recommendation.
We made these Blackberry Gin Fizz cocktails on a sunny Saturday afternoon. But drinking these will make any day feel like 75 and sunny. That I can promise you. Well, any day with some Hendricks Gin will make you smile. Maybe not the first drink but keep them coming. That big smile will be plastered across any one’s face in no time! This cocktail is refreshing enough to cheer up any day, rain or shine. Try it out and see!
From our kitchen to yours, cheers!
