How to make an easy pumpkin bread recipe with a spice cake mix. This is a very simple recipe with just two ingredients.

You only need a box of spice cake and a can of pumpkin to make a delicious and moist pumpkin bread. You can also use a yellow or white cake mix, but you'll need to add a teaspoon of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice.

You can also add chopped nuts or chocolate chips. I have some other variations in my easy cake mix pumpkin bread recipe post.

This is a simple recipe that makes a great dessert or even breakfast. I like to eat it plain or with butter on top.

  • 15 ounce spice cake mix
  • 15 ounce can of pumpkin

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree and the spice cake mix. Be careful not to overmix.
Spray a loaf pan with nonstick spray or line with natural parchment paper. Pour the pumpkin bread batter in the pan.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in to the center comes out clean.

    Hi. Would canned pumpkin soup be suitable for this recipe? Thank you.

      The recipe calls for canned pumpkin, not soup and not pie filling. The soup would be to watery and the filling contains more ingredients than canned pumpkin. BTW, canned pumpkin isn’t always just pumpkin, some include a type of squash.

    I've made this recipe before many times and it's a favorite. To add some extra flavor and crunch, I've put in nuts and chocolate chips.

      I've made this recipe for years as well!! It's great! Try making in mini cupcake pans or reg muffin pans! Great gifts and awesome for on the go breakfast or snacks!! Love adding nuts, raisins or mini chocolate chips:)
