This Easy Lemonade Margarita Cocktail is a refreshing spin on the classic Margarita. If you like lemons this cocktail is for you!

Margaritas are one of my favorite cocktails and lemonade is the only juice I truly love so it makes perfect sense to mix the two.

The first step in making this easy lemonade margarita cocktail is the lemon simple syrup. Simple syrup is basically equal parts sugar and water. You can use simple syrup in drinks and even make fruit sorbet with it. All I did was add lemon to it. To make it all we do is combine the sugar, water and lemon peels in a pot and heat it up until the sugar dissolves. Thats it, easy peasy. The only important part is to make sure there is no pith on your lemon peel. The pith is bitter and we don’t want bitter.

Blanco (white) Tequila is the preferred liquor for this easy lemonade margarita cocktail. The flavor blends seamlessly in this drink. Fresh lemon juice is also key.

I infused some salt with lemon zest, to rim the glasses with. This is optional but I’m a firm believer you can’t have a margarita without salt. It enhances the drink so much more, so why not. 🙂 Lastly, we need ice. Margaritas should always be served cold.

Enough chatting, lets make Margs! Wait one more thing, this cocktail is ridiculously delicious. So be careful, before you know it you’ve drank the whole bottle of tequila. lol. Trust me, it happens 😉 ok now lets make margs!
