This easy and kid-friendly hashbrown casserole recipe is perfect for weekend or holiday mornings. Here’s how to make it!

Who else loves breakfast any time of day? I admit, breakfast is a popular meal here at Two Kids and a Coupon, we often eat breakfast for lunch or dinner (in addition to breakfast of course) and it’s one of the most popular requests when I ask what everyone wants for dinner.


When making our breakfast whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner, one popular request is breakfast casseroles. Easy to make and packed with flavor these are perfect to enjoy at home or as a hot dish to take at a potluck. Because many of you are looking for delicious recipes to make for the holidays, here is an easy breakfast casserole idea to make with hashbrowns and your favorite sausage.


Kid-Friendly Hashbrown Casserole Recipe

To make this easy breakfast casserole, you’ll need a large bag of frozen hashbrowns, shredded cheddar cheese, a can of cream of chicken soul, your favorite sausage or ham (we used kielbasa here, but feel free to substitute your own. You can also add salt and pepper to taste. Shred the cheese if needed using a cheese shredder. You’ll also want to dice the sausage into bite sized pieces to get everything ready.

To start this hashbrown casserole recipe, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl combine all of the ingredients including the hash browns, cheese, salt, pepper, cream of chicken soup & diced kielbasa. Feel free to substitute your favorite sausage or another meat if you have something else that you prefer.

Spread the mixture into a casserole pan or baking dish once everything is mixed well.

Bake your hashbrown casserole recipe for 35 minutes. Keep the dish warm until serving. Don’t forget a hot pad for the table and serving utensils.

Ingredients

  • 2lb Bag Frozen Hash Browns
  • 8oz Shredded cheddar Cheese
  • 10.5oz Can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Pepper
  • 14oz Kielbasa (diced)
Instructions

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
Add hash browns, cheese, salt, pepper, cream of chicken soup & diced kielbasa into a large mixing bowl and combine.\
Spread into a baking dish.
Bake for 35 minutes.
Tips
  • Feel free to substitute ham or another favorite sausage
