Who recalls eating canned green beans as a kid? I do, I remember they were always served for lunch at school and for a very long time, I thought that was they only way they came and only way to eat them. I wasn’t a huge fan of canned green beans but as I got older, I learned to try new foods. Fresh green beans are one of my favorite vegetables. I love them cooked but want them to have a little crunch to them. This recipe takes about 15 minutes to make but the time can be longer or shorter depending on how you like your green beans cooked.

If you’re looking for a side dish recipe, this is a great one. Sautéed green beans with yummy bites of garlic, a lemony flavor and a little heat from the cracked chili pepper flakes. It’s not a very time consuming recipe, it’s very simple to make but I can assure you that the flavor is wonderful.

It makes a great side dish or it can be used as a main dish just by incorporating a protein. I’ve used shrimp and chicken, they both taste great. This is also a great meal prep food and I don’t mind eating them cold either.

Thank you for stopping by.
