This recipe has been in my family for literal generations! Ever since I was a little girl, this has been my favorite part of Thanksgiving. I couldn't wait for it! Seriously, I would always go back for seconds or sometimes even thirds. I didn't care that it was full of veggies and actually pretty good and healthy for me. It was the flavor I couldn't get enough of!

This looks pretty good! I'd like to give it a try but have a question for you regarding the sodium content. I am a dialysis patient and have to watch out for sodium, potassium, and phosphorous. Using the ingredients mentioned, it appears to be high in sodium w/ the soup, crackers, butter, and cheese. I hope I am wrong as I need a lot of recipes for this dialysis issue.

    Thank you.

    • Hi Ann Marie! You can easily scale down the sodium in this recipe! Let's start with the crackers. Ritz makes a low sodium cracker and you can use unsalted butter. There are some brands that make low/no sodium cheese! When it comes to the soup, if you make your own, you can control the amount of salt that goes in it. If you want to make your own soup, we have a delicious Cream of Celery Soup recipe on our blog. If you don't want to make the soup, you can find low/no sodium cans of soup in the grocery store. I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any more questions. Xo, Caylie
