Beef Stew
A nice tasty family meal that all gets thrown in the same pot and left to cook for hours while you get on with your day or just put your feet up and relax. This is one of those meals that’s a winter belly Warmer that’s tasty with some buttered crusty bread dipped into it. You want to spend less time over the cooker and more time making memories then this recipe allows you to do so. Once it’s all in the pot, it cooks itself.
Preheat oven to 160
Brown your cubed beef and sprinkle with 2 beef oxo cubes
Stir until browned
Chop your onion and carrots
Add your vegetable soup mix/casserole mix which is pre chopped veg
Add your sliced onion
Add your sliced carrots
Add your mini potatoes whole
Give it all a good mix
Add a sachet of beef casserole mix to season
Make up a cup of a beef stock cube
Pour over the mixture
Pour some boiling water over to cover all the ingredients
Place in the oven for around 4-6 hours, cook until the meat is falling apart
Remove some of the sauce and add some gravy granules to it to thicken
Put back into the pot and stir. Now it’s ready to eat. Good belly warmer on a winters day.

- 600-800g diced beef
- 2 oxo cubes
- vegetable soup mix or casserole mix
- 3 carrots
- an onion
- bag of small potatoes
- casserole seasoning sachet
- Cup beef stock
- gravy granules
Instructions

- preheat oven on 160
- brown the diced beef with 2 oxo cubes
- add the soup mix, onion, carrots and potatoes and mix
- Add the casserole seasoning sachet and mix
- make up a cup of beef stock and pour into pot
- top up with boiled water until all ingredients are covered
- place lid on and put in oven for 4-6 hours until meat is falling apart
- pour out some of the juices and add gravy granules to thicken.
- pour back into the pot and it’s ready to eat
