Nothing fancy here, just a classic chili served with Greek yogurt as a healthier alternative to sour cream as it contains higher protein with less calories. I prefer to use black beans instead of kidney beans, but use any type of bean you like. I didn't have any peppers to add to this dish but would recommend adding them if you like! If you prefer spicy chili, add cayenne pepper and/or hot sauce for a kick.
This dish comes together so quickly and requires basic cooking skills. The leftovers are also great the next day!

Ingredients
- 1lb ground beef
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tbsp cumin
- 1 brown onion, diced
- 1 can of beans (black, kidney, other)
- green onions and/or cilantro to garnish
- Greek yogurt or sour cream to serve
- Shredded cheese to serve
Instructions
- Cook the ground beef in a pan then strain out any excess oil
- Add the diced onions then the chili powder, garlic powder, and cumin
- Saute then add the beans, tomato paste, and beef broth
- Cover the pot and bring to a boil until liquid thickens
- Serve with yogurt or sour cream, cheese, and green onion or cilantro
- Enjoy!
Tips
- Add hot sauce for extra spice!
