Surprise Halloween Pretzel Sticks “Jersey Girl Knows Best”
Do your guests love chocolate covered pretzel rods ?! Do they like marshmallows? Well this recipe is a mash up of both! Ready?! Let’s do this!
I took the Peep Ghost marshmallows, I slit a hole on the bottom and I pushed the pretzel onto it. Since the marshmallow is so sticky, it is not necessary to add candy melts to it, but I did a few that way to try it. You could just leave the pretzel rods like this and call it a day, but why not be festive and keep the sugary decorations going! 😆 I placed them on wax paper before adding the candy melts.
I melted some candy melts, I drizzled them over the pretzel and I added Halloween colored non-pareil sprinkles for added decoration. As you can see the pretzel rods are lifted up by the marshmallow so the candy melts will not completely stay onto the pretzel rod. You could most likely do your standard coated pretzel rods and then stick the marshmallow on top. I will try that next time!
I really think the kids at your Halloween gathering will be impressed with this dessert.
I made a few without the marshmallow topper for comparison. I really like the added topper for a punch of Halloween decor!
