Sesame Soy Beef bowls are one of my favorite go-to easy meals to make on busy weeknights. You can have these bowls on the table and ready to eat in under 30 minutes.

The ingredients are super basic yet the dish does not lack on flavor at all! The savory beef is tender and the slight sweetness makes it very appealing to little ones.

Our favorite way to enjoy Sesame Soy beef is over rice topped with sliced green onions, a sprinkle of sesame seeds and a side of broccoli.

In the past I have also used this sesame soy beef in lettuce wraps and it’s equally as yummy!

The first thing I like to do when making this dish is to start cooking the rice. This way by the time the beef is done cooking you can assemble your bowls and get to eating!

I then move on to browning the ground beef. While the beef is cooking you can whisk up the sesame soy sauce.

All you need for the sauce is sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, ground ginger and minced garlic. Whisk all the ingredients together and set aside.

When the beef is almost done cooking pour the sauce over it and continue to cook it for a few more minutes until it has thickened a bit.

To assemble the bowl start with a layer of rice, top with the sesame soy beef and garnish with some sliced green onion and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

This meal might look basic but it’s so yummy and a family favorite in our home.

The sliced green onions give the dish a lovely freshness and complement the sesame soy beef beautifully.

To complete the meal and add some extra veggies to it, I like to serve it with a side of steamed broccoli.
