I am inspired this month to cook easy and tasty recipes to share with you. These recipes are easy to make, you just need a handful of ingredients. these are high in nutrients and packed with flavor. This Blackened Salmon Bake is what you need to make any day of the week. The key is the the spice mix to season your salmon fillet and elevates this dish.
I am using my fave olive oil is @garciadelacruzoliveyou to ELEVATE this dish. Now it is a complete heart healthy dish!
Here are the Ingredients to make this delicious dish.
1.2 lbs Wild Sockeye Salmon (Fillet )
1/2 tsp of each( oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cayenne pepper & dry thyme)
1 1/2 tsp of smoked paprika
1-2 Tbsp of @garciadelacruz
Salt & pepper to taste (about 3/4 tsp)
Serve with your favorite potato dish, rice or salad. I made a colorful slaw to keep it crunchy.
A perfect, healthy and nutritious meal!
A nice 1.3 lb salmon fillet and simple seasonings.
The finishing touch is a drizzle of a good quality olive oil to elevate this dish.

EASY BLACKENED SALMON BAKE

Ingredients
- 1.2 lbs Wild Sockeye Salmon (Fillet )
- 1/2 tsp of each( oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cayenne pepper & dry thyme)
- 1 1/2 tsp of smoked paprika
- 1-2 Tbsp of @garciadelacruz
- Salt & pepper to taste (about 3/4 tsp)
- Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish
Easy lemon glaze
- 1 lemon or lime
- 2 Tbsp of honey
- 1 Tbsp of butter
Instructions
- Pre- heat oven at 400 degrees
- Place a baking sheet in the oven
- Pad dry your fresh salmon fillet.
- In a bow mix the dry seasonings.
- Drizzle olive oil on both sides
- Season with the spice blend on both sides
- Remove the baking sheet add a drizzle of olive oil and place the salmon skin side down
- Cook for about 8 min at 400 degrees and then broil for 8 min. Or until internal temperature reads 145
- Remove from oven and rest
Easy Lemon Glaze
- In a pan add the 2 Tbsp of butter and melt
- Then add the lemon juice and honey
- Lightly season with salt and pepper to taste
