Candied pecans are certainly a fan favorite when the weather turns cooler - any flavored nut seems to take center stage. Perfect for snacking, Instagram-worthy charcuterie boards, or creating a fun topping for your delicious cheesecake, it's no wonder spiced nuts get quite the attention. What makes these extra special is the fact they are vegan-friendly with aquafaba (reserved liquid from garbanzo beans or chickpeas) acting as the binding agent, yet flavored with all the winter favorites. Traditional sugar in this recipe is replaced with healthier Truvia Sweet Complete and coconut sugar. These only take a few minutes to make and will not only taste fantastic, but will fill your home with cinnamon spice aromas deserving of some serious nostalgia.

When do you add the nuts?

    • Melanie Lorick Melanie Lorick on Dec 31, 2020

Hi, Vicki! Thanks for your question - that was an accidental omission in the recipe, which I've corrected. Add the nuts to the aquafaba spice mixture, folding/stirring gently until it lightly coats the pecan halves. Hope you are well...Happy New Year!
