This Honey Garlic Shrimp is made with shrimp, honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, oil and can be served on rice.

This is a simple recipe that gives shrimp a great combination of sweet and savory flavor. You can also make this recipe on the grill by marinating the shrimp the same exact way, threading them on skewers. This is an easy weeknight recipe and takes only 20 minutes to make! I love plating this shrimp on a warm bed of rice, although this shrimp works well with noodles as well.

How to make Honey Garlic Shrimp

Pour honey, garlic, soy sauce and ginger in a bowl and whisk. Separate the marinade in two separate bowls.

Place the shrimp in a bowl and pour half of the mixture in. Marinate for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Leave the leftover mixture to the side.

After 30 minutes, place the olive oil in a medium pan on medium high heat and put the shrimp in the pan. Try not to dump any of the juice in the pan. The shrimp should cook about 3 minutes on each side. Remember, you still have half of the fresh mixture left. Use tongs to flip each individual shrimp!

After flipping the shrimp and three minutes have passed, pour the rest of the mixture in, stir, and remove.

Serve the shrimp with rice and garnish with scallions and sesame seed.
