Now I am sure I don’t have to tell you but there is nothing that can be a good bowl of chowder, Crock-Pot Crawfish Chowder is perfect. Now if only everything could be grilled, but sadly some things can’t like this chowder so I am thankful my old lady turned me onto the Crock-Pot.

I know what you are thinking Crawfish in chowder?? Trust me this recipe will be a hit when you take it anywhere! I made this the first time for a Superbowl party and it was the first dish gone, and then the same thing at a celebration of life as well. now you can make this with freshly caught crawfish, frozen tail meat, or store-bought crawfish. It doesn’t matter how you get the crawfish you only need the tail meat.

Crock Pot Crawfish Chowder Ingredients:

  • 1 Stick Butter
  • 2 Pounds Frozen Crawfish Tail Meat, I picked mine up at Tacoma Boys
  • 2 Cans Cream of Potato Soup
  • 1 Brick Cream Cheese Softened
  • 1 Pint Half-and-Half cream
  • 2 Cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 2 Cans Whole Kernel Corn, Drained
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Old Bays Seasoning
  • Chili Powder

*This can be halved if you want but trust me you want the leftovers. You can also change up the spices, and next time I am thinking about throwing in some bacon! **

Cook on low for about 4-6 hours and enjoy! This is amazing served in bread bowls or with saltine crackers, we personally prefer the oyster ones.
