Our Families Version of Guacamole

This is our families version of guacamole. I love avocados and they are full of magnesium which my hubby has to get more into him these days. We do not make ours very spicy and sometimes I add cilantro and other times I do not. I use a sweet white onion instead of yellow because my family are not fans of onion. The white onion isn't quite in your face onion flavor. I use quite a bit of lime because we love the lime taste in our salsa and guacamole. First I use a knife to cut the avocado in half and use that same sharp knife to grab the pit out. Then I cut squares into the avocado and just spoon them out into a medium sized bowl. I use a fork to smash the mixture up just a little we like it chunky. I cut a Roma tomato into small size pieces and a half of a sweet white onion into small pieces. I squeeze a whole large lime into the mixture and stir it very gently together. Occasionally I will add cilantro also and garlic minced. This time I didn't as I did not have any on hand. I refrigerate it about an hour with plastic wrap in contact with the guacamole so no air reaches it and risk it turning brown. Serve with warmed tortilla chips.

Use your knife to remove the pit.

Fresh tomato cut up.

Stirred with a fork.

Add all ingredients together.

Yumm

Serve with warmed tortilla chips.
