Thank you for taking the time to read my recipe.

For many years, I used to buy poppyseed dressing, it was my favorite dressing. Almost three years ago, I gave it up after going on a health journey. My favorite brand contained so much refined sugar, and other ingredients that are known to cause gut issues and inflammation. I couldn’t find a brand that I liked so I just gave it up. The other day, I decided to try to make my own. I reviewed several recipes on the net and decided to incorporate my own after being inspired. I’m so glad that I did because I think it turned out even better than the brand I used to buy. Feel free to modify any ingredient to achieve the flavor you like. If you want it less sweet or tangy, play with the amount of honey or vinegar in this recipe.

This dressing is made with six simple clean ingredients. It also doesn’t contain any refined sugars, it’s made with honey or agave, you get to choose. The great thing about this is that it doesn’t spike your glycemic index as fast as refined sugar does. Also, this recipe uses olive oil which is better than most brands out there which use canola or sunflower oils which contain trans and saturated fat, linked to inflammation and other health concerns.

Okay, enough on my rant! This recipe is sweet but slightly tangy and the poppyseeds add a pretty speckled look. It’s made with my favorite non- fat yogurt, “Fage 0% non fat”, this is a staple in our home. This dressing will keep in the refrigerator for as long as the expiration date of your yogurt but if you enjoy poppyseed dressing, it won’t last long. This is also very simple to make, you literally throw all the ingredients into a jar, give it a few shakes and it’s ready to serve. I hope you give this a try and enjoy it as much as I do.
