These peppermint bark pudding shots are sure to be a hit at your holiday parties. They are fun, unique, and taste delicious. I made mine alcoholic, but you can omit the alcohol for a family friendly dessert for your guests.

A pudding shot is when you mix pudding mix and any kind of alcohol together and serve it in a shot glass to be eaten on its own. Many take to making christmas pudding shots, which combine the flavors associated with the season with that of a pudding shot.

In this case, we are making holiday pudding shots using peppermint and white chocolate. White chocolate peppermint pudding shots are the same, except different ingredients are used within the recipe to make it taste like white chocolate and peppermint.

White chocolate and peppermint are both iconic holiday flavors, and as such, make for a versatile recipe. You can add all kinds of toppings to the christmas pudding shots, such as marshmallows, chocolate shavings, or peppermint candies.

These are also sometimes referred to as peppermint bark shots, or candy cane pudding shots. As a recipe, it has lots of opportunities to be creative and mix different flavor combinations together.

Typically, pudding shots are served in shot glasses or very small bowls and eaten with a spoon. If they are runny enough you can also eat them by tipping the shot glass and eating it like that.

You can serve these peppermint bark shots in disposable shot glasses or c ondiment cups. You can also learn how to make chocolate shot glasses and make them with white chocolate wafers.

There are all kinds of flavor combinations that work for this recipe. However, there are a few choice options I wish to highlight as they pair exceptionally well with candy cane pudding shots.

One of the great things about candy cane pudding shots is how much they remind us of the holiday season. As such, you should choose a spirit that invokes the holiday feeling we all know and love.

Following is a simple list of preferred drinks that will pair really well with these Christmas pudding shots:

  • Chocolate Liqueur
  • Peppermint Vodka
  • Amaretto
  • Bailey’s
  • Whipped Cream Vodka
  • Spiced Rum
  • Cinnamon Whiskey

There are so many potential flavor mixtures that you can use. Luckily, this is a fairly simple recipe, so you can try it out a couple of times with different spirits to see what works well for you.

How to Make Non-Alcoholic Peppermint Pudding Shots

To make your holiday pudding shots non-alcoholic, simply substitute a drink of your choice in lieu of the peppermint vodka. You can use any drink, and there are many choices, but you may need to adjust the recipe a smidge.

By this I mean, the alcohol content can make the peppermint pudding shots mix more or less runny. Without it, the same can happen, so you will need to adjust the amount of whipped topping you add in accordingly.
