Plating is such an important component of the cooking experience, it makes the process more therapeutic, and the outcome better / prettier you know what I’m saying!?

Some recipes are very easy like this chia pudding recipe, they don't even require real cooking, they consist of prepping and assembling a bunch of ingredients. So plating and presenting those types of meals beautifully makes a difference. It's all about the colors and the plate ware you use.

For this chia pudding, I decided to serve it in a coconut shell bowl to make it more cute. (Those were from a Fruit sorbet pack at Costco) and opted for different colorful ingredients -- feel free to pick whatever you like!

Ingredients
Pudding
  • - 1/4 cup whole chia seeds
  • - 1 cup milk
  • - 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • - 1 tsp vanilla
Toppings
  • - Blueberries
  • - Kiwi
  • - Banana
  • - Apple
  • - Rose petals (optional for you but mandatory for me )
Instructions

-Mix milk, syrup, vanilla until well combined then add chia, stir well, and wait for a couple min before stirring again to form an (almost) homogenous mix (the chia tends to accumulate at the bottom after the first stir and you don’t want that)
-Let rest in the fridge for 4h up to overnight
-When serving, add your favorite toppings and enjoy

I have chia seeds and will make this today. It looks SO easy. Unlike store-bought pudding, it has no chemical preservatives. I'll probably make a cocoa version, as well.
