I used chocolate chips because I had a hard time finding chocolate melting wafers. I used a Wilton chocolate melting pot to melt my chocolate because it's so easy to use.
These make really fun gifts for kids at a holiday party. They can have them for dessert and eat the candy plus the outer shell. I have some tips for melting the chocolate in my how to make a hollow chocolate ball with candy inside post, so click over for more ways to melt chocolate.
