- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
Yield: Approximately 2 1/2 dozen
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden, in the preheated oven.
You can sprinkle these cookies with colored sugar if you want to make them even more festive.

Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups flour

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper; set aside.
- In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the flour mixture.
- Roll dough into rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place onto the prepared cookie sheets.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden, in the preheated oven.
- Let stand on the cookie sheet 2 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
