When making the best chocolate cookies, you want them to stay nice and chewy and perfect. In order to do that, you have to store them properly. It is important that the chocolate cookies are stored in an airtight container or freezer bag. This will keep the cookies from going stale.
When I make cookies I like to freeze some. This lets me have fresh cookies all the time. I can freeze the cookie dough by scooping it into cookies and putting it on a plate or baking sheet, whatever can fit into your freezer, Then once the cookie dough balls are frozen, I move them to a freezer bag. This way, I can take out as many or as little as I like. I can also freeze the baked cookies. I like to freeze these first before adding to a bag or container. This keeps the cookies from sticking together.
While I love making chocolate chip cookies, I really like making this a chocolate cookie recipe without chocolate chips. I feel that the M&Ms work much better with this cookie for the taste and texture I am going for. However, you could certainly add chocolate chips if you wanted.
