Ingredients
For the Apple Filling
  • 2-3 pounds Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
For the Crumble Topping
  • 2 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, cold and cubed
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced Granny Smith apples, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon honey, and 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Toss the ingredients until the apples are evenly coated. Set aside while you prepare the crumble topping.
In a separate bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups almond flour, 3/4 cup white sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, a dash of salt, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Mix these dry ingredients together until well combined.
Cut the 1/2 cup of cold butter into small cubes and add it to the dry mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingertips, work the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. You want small butter pieces to remain in the mixture for a crumbly texture.
Take a baking dish (8x8 inches or similar) and spread the prepared apple filling evenly in the bottom of the dish.
Sprinkle the crumble topping mixture evenly over the apples, covering them completely. Press down lightly to make sure the topping adheres to the apples.
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling around the edges.
Remove the apple crumble from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving. You can serve it warm on its own, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or a dollop of whipped cream for added deliciousness.
