I have to admit, I am a sucker for appetizers. If I had to choose, I would prefer these traditional pre-meal snacks to a big sit down meal.

Affordable and easy to make, this recipe is a quick and tasty appetizer to make for guests or to take to a gathering.

In this post, I’m going to share how you can make one at home in minutes.

This recipe takes 5 minutes of prep time and 20 minutes of chill time in the refrigerator. If you need a larger ball, or are making multiples, don’t hesitate to double or triple the ingredients.


Easy Pecan Bacon Cheeseball Recipe


Here’s how to make this recipe for your friends and family.

Ingredients:
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (triple cheddar was used here, but feel free to use your favorite)
  • ½ cup bacon bits
  • ½ cup finely chopped pecans
  • ¼ cup sliced scallions
  • 2 tbsp milk (of your choice)
  • 2 tsp everything bagel seasoning
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & crushed black paper to taste

To start making your cheeseball recipe, get out a medium-size bowl.

You will want to add together the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, all of the seasonings, and the milk.

Mix with a hand mixer or stand mixer, until everything is well combined.

Then add in half of the bacon bits, half of the scallions, and half of the pecans. You will want the pecans finely chopped, and can do this with a knife or food processor ahead of time.

Before the next step, you will want to refrigerate your cheeseball recipe mixture to help give it some shape.

Put a piece of saran wrap on the counter and put the cheese ball in it. Then fully wrap it up with the saran wrap and form it into a ball.

Put the mixture in the fridge for 20 minutes

While the ball is chilling, get out a shallow bowl.

In a shallow bowl, add the remaining chopped pecans, bacon bits and scallions.

Roll the ball around in the prepared shallow bowl and make sure the whole ball is coated with the remaining mixture.
