How do you make French Toast with Eggnog

To make French Toast with eggnog, you essentially replace most of the milk (and some of the sweetener) from a regular recipe with Eggnog. You would still need a bit of milk to thin the soaking mixture though since classic egg nog is thicker than milk.


Ingredients for Healthy Eggnog French Toast

This healthy eggnog French Toast is made with low fat and low sugar almond milk egg nog and protein powder instead of sugar! An actually healthy alternative for Christmas breakfast.

  • Eggnog Almond Milk or regular or light Eggnog
  • Brioche Bread
  • Vanilla Protein Powder – I used Quest Nutrition Vanilla Protein Powder for this recipe
  • Egg Whites
  • Almond Milk – You can use any other reduced fat milk too
  • A bit of Ground Nutmeg

Ingredients

  • 4 slices Brioche Bread, about 112g
  • 1/2 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder, Whey-casein 15g
  • 1/3 cup Eggnog, Almond Milk-based recommended, 80ml
  • 1 Tbsp + 1 tsp Almond Milk, or other, 20ml
  • 1 1/2 Egg White, 45g
  • 1/8 tsp Nutmeg
  • Olive Oil Spray for greasing
Instructions

In a large shallow bowl or container whisk together eggnog, milk, egg whites, vanilla protein powder and nutmeg.
Place sliced bread in mixture and let soak for about 2-3 minutes. Flip, and soak other side for another 2-3 minutes.
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-low and spray with cooking spray.
Place soaked bread on pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, flip, and cook other side for another 2 minutes.Cook one slice at a time if using a small skillet.
Serve with whipped cream or your choice of toppings.

    I wanna know where you get eggnog for this recipe after thanksgiving and Christmas? That stuff in a can is awful try and find eggnog ice.cream? Don’ find that at all any more!🤫
