This healthier chocolate banana bread makes the perfect snack and little baking project! Containing simple ingredients you will find in your pantry, your family will love it.

I wouldn’t suggest changing anything in this recipe, keep the ingredients and measurements the same and you won’t be disappointed.

Use regular all-purpose flour and cocoa powder for best results.

Use granulated sugar or coconut sugar.

Use melted coconut oil and 2 mashed bananas.

You will also need 1 egg and chocolate chips.

  • 1 loaf tin
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • Spatula to mix

For measuring: 1/4 tsp, 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp, 1/2 cup, 1 cup.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 - 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 mashed bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C and prepare the loaf tin.
In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas then mix in the egg, vanilla and melted coconut oil.
Add in the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder and mix until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Transfer to the loaf tin and bake for 45-50 minutes.
Let cool then enjoy! This is freezer-friendly too
