This recipe will show you how to make a Harry Potter inspired Amortentia love potion. Since I don’t have access to the magical ingredients from the Harry Potter book series like powdered moonstone, or Ashwinder eggs, I made do with sweet ingredients from the supermarket like vanilla ice cream, white chocolate chips and cherries to make this cherry flavored white hot chocolate confection that is sure to cast a spell on your sweetheart.

We are big Harry Potter Fans in our home. I even posted a tutorial for how to make a  Harry Potter wand  a few months ago. Today we are making a recipe inspired by the series, Amortenia: The love potion!

  • Vanilla bean ice cream
  • Frozen cherries
  • Pink Champagne Baking Dust– I like this one.
  • White chocolate chips
  • Peppermint mocha coffee creamer- or edible peppermint oil for baking

Vanilla bean ice cream and milk are the base of the potion.

  • Add ice cream to a sauce pan on low heat. Pour in the creamer and stir until melted together. Add the white chocolate chips and cherries.

  • Use an immersion blender to blend the cherries or put the whole thing into a blender.

Sprinkle in the iridescent pink powder, stir and pour into two mugs.

Serve this love potion to your favorite sweetheart!
