Sometimes when it's cold out you just want something warm to drink. This hot white chocolate recipe is so amazing. I absolutely love it. I thought of this recipe while preparing for a Christmas party with three of my best friends. I wanted us to have something different and special for the night. To make the hot white chocolate I used the same method as my hot chocolate recipe. The hot white chocolate is smooth and delicious. It has all of the classic flavors that we love around Christmas time. I hope you enjoy this amazing hot white chocolate recipe as much as I did.

  • 2 c Whole Milk
  • 1/4 c White Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 c Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • Pinch Salt
  • Whipped Cream (Optional)

Bring your milk to a simmer. You don’t want it boiling.
In a separate bowl pour in your white chocolate chips. Then pour the simmering milk over the chocolate.
Slowly whisk the mixture until all of the chocolate is melted. You may have to scrape the bowl a few times.
Add the vanilla extract to your mixture.
In a separate bowl mix the sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon together. While whisking briskly, add it to the hot chocolate. Whisk until all of the ingredients have dissolved.
Reheat the hot chocolate if it has become too cool for you, and enjoy! You can also top your hot chocolate with whipped cream too!
Tip: Cinnamon can be hard to mix with liquid. So it may take a few minutes of brisk whisking to incorporate all of it.
