How to make a salted caramel apple cider bomb. These are like a hot cocoa bomb, but they have a caramel shell and spiced apple cider mix inside.

Drink bombs are great for kids and adults. We like to have them on holidays or family days when we play board games and hang out.

instead of a chocolate shell, these have a salted caramel shell. It has spiced apple cider mix inside. When you put one in a mug and add hot water, the caramel shell melts and releases the powder. Then stir and enjoy!

I have more tips to making these on my blog, so be sure to check out my salted caramel apple cider bomb recipe.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces salted caramel candy melts
  • 3 - 0.74 ounce packets of apple cider drink mix
  • 1 ounce white chocolate wafers
Instructions

Set a ceramic plate in the freezer. Then melt the salted caramel wafers in a double boiler or in a chocolate melting pot.
Spoon melted caramel into each cavity of the sphere mold. Use a spoon of chocolate brushes to coat the sides of the mold. Place the mold in the freezer for 5 minutes.
Remove the mold from the freezer and add another coat of caramel. Freeze for an additional 5 minutes.
Heat a small frying pan over medium heat until it's hot. Remove the mold and place from the freezer. Unmold each half sphere and set them on the chilled plate. Hold the caramel semi sphere upside down and gently touch the top of it to the hot pan to melt the caramel to create a flat edge.
Flip the caramel half sphere so the opening is at the top. Add the apple cider drink mix. Heat another half sphere until it's flat and place it on top of the sphere with the drink mix. Repeat with the other two hot apple cider bombs.
Melt the white candy melts and drizzle over the bombs.

Not big on white chocolate, apple & Carmel mix… but too each their own. Leave the chocolate out and I’m good- add cinnamon???? Maybe…
