These Old Fashioned Powdered Donuts are such a classic dessert and one of my favourites. Each and every bite takes me bake to my childhood.


Who doesn’t love donuts?! Donuts are my guilty pleasure. They pair perfectly with my morning coffee. I could eat them for breakfast lunch and dinnericon


These cake like donuts are baked, not fried, and are dusted with powdered sugar. They also use simple ingredients and are super easy to bake at home! They are a definite crowd pleaser. Don't believe me? Try them for yourself today! And don’t forget to let me know how they turn out :)

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of All Purpose Flour
  • 4 Tablespoons of Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
  • 1/8 Teaspoon of Nutmeg
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 6 Tablespoons of milk
  • 1 Tablespoon melted Coconut Oil (you can substitute melted butter)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Pure Vanilla Extract
Instructions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F and grease your donut pan.
In a medium mixing bowl, sift together all the dry ingredients. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine all the wet ingredients.
Mix the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients. Don’t over mix.
Fill each donut pan cavity approximately 2/3 full.
Bake 7-10 minutes.
Let the donuts cool in the pan before removing.
While the donuts are cooling, place 1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar in a small bowl. Set aside.
Once the donuts have cooled, roll your donuts in the powdered sugar. Repeat this step until all the donuts are covered in powdered sugar. Enjoy!
