12 Rolls
30 min
As much as I love being in the kitchen, there’s not always enough time to spend the whole day cooking or baking. So I’m always looking for ways to simplify every recipe that I can. When I want cinnamon rolls for breakfast, I want them now. I don’t want to plan in advance. I don’t want to wait hours, or even overnight, for them to rise. Would you believe me if I told you these cinnamon rolls take only a half hour and are baked with store bought, refrigerated pizza crust? Seriously, there’s no need for yeast or anything complicated. These are soft, chewy, so simple and SO GOOD!
Roll the dough out and cover with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
Bake until golden brown.
Spread with frosting.

Recipe details
Ingredients
For the cinnamon rolls:
- 1 tube Pillsbury classic pizza crust
- 1/2 stick salted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
For the frosting:
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp milk, add more as needed
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Dash of cinnamon
Instructions
For the cinnamon rolls:
- Preheat the oven to 350°
- Roll pizza dough out onto a floured surface into a rectangle and spread melted butter on top.
- Mix together brown sugar and cinnamon and spread evenly over dough.
- Take the longer side of the rectangle and roll tightly into a log.
- To ensure evenly cut rolls, mark the log into thirds. Then take each third and cut into fourths. You should end up with 12 rolls.
- Place in an greased 8x8 baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
For the frosting:
- Whisk together cream cheese, powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
- If you want your frosting to be a thinner consistency, add more milk.
- Spread over rolls and enjoy!
