How to make corn on the cob in an Instant Pot pressure cooker. This is a quick and easy way to get perfect corn.

Corn is easy to make on the stove, but I switched to making it in the Instant Pot. It takes less time, especially if you are making several ears. We always make at least 6 ears, so the water takes a long time to boil.

This uses less water. It steams the corn, which makes it tender and perfect for a summer side dish. I have tips for choosing the best corn in my Instant Pot corn on the cob post, so be sure to check that out.

When you place the corn in the Instant Pot liner, alternate the rows as shown in the photo. This lets the steam get around the ears so they cook evenly.

Ingredients

  • 6 ears of corn
  • 1 cup water
Instructions

Husk and clean the corn.
Place the trivet in the bottom of the Instant Pot insert and add one cup of water. Then place the corn on top, alternating directions for each layer.
Place the lid on the Instant Pot and make sure the pressure cooker is set to sealing. Cook for 2 minutes.
Once the pressure is released, quick release the pressure to stop the corn from overcooking. This will spew hot water, so be careful releasing the pressure.
When the pressure is gone, remove the lid and use tongs to transfer the corn to a plate to cool before eating.
Tips
  • Add 1-2 minutes if leaving the corn in the husk.
