French Onion Soup

6 Bowls
1 hr 5 min

Everyone loves soup, but not everyone knows how easy it is to make at home. And I don't mean from a can. Because sure, you can go to the store and buy a can of French onion soup, pop it open, and heat it up on the stove. But then, you're missing out on the delicious bread and cheese on top. And you're also getting a lot more salt in your soup than actual seasoning or flavor.

This French onion soup recipe is actually pretty easy to make at home. The process is so much easier than you'd think, making you wonder why you haven't made it at home before.

The only slight hang up you might have is that you need to make sure you have oven safe bowls because you need to put them in the oven in order to melt the cheese on top.

Split the soup between six bowls.
Top with bread and cheese.
Broil on high for two minutes to melt the cheese before serving.
