Ingredients

  • 2 red onions, peeled and roughly sliced
  • 800 grams broccoli, divided into florets
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 500 grams puff pastry
  • 200 grams sour cream
  • 50 ml milk
  • 3/4 cup grated cheese
  • drizzle of honey
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a large pan on medium heat, sauté the onions for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in the broccoli, pepper and salt and stir for another 10 mins. The vegetables should be cooked and soft. Remove from heat.
Spread the pastry along the parchment paper and roll the edges in to create a boarder.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the cream, milk and cheese. Pour the mixture over the pastry and use the back of a spoon to spread it evenly.
Use a large spoon (and your hands!) to place the vegetables on top of the cheese mix, until spread evenly across the tart.
Drizzle a little bit of honey over the vegetables and place the tart in the oven. Let cook for around 20 mins or until the pastry turns golden brown.
Remove from the oven and serve hot.
