Easy Crockpot Meatballs Recipe


If you’ve never simmered meatballs in your slow cooker, you’re missing out! Adding a rich and tangy sauce can make these meatballs flavorful and tender, plus it’s super easy to make. This appetizer recipe is perfect for holiday gatherings, game days, or for an easy dish to take when visiting family or friends. Depending on when you plan to serve, you can cook the meatballs either on high or on low, and these are also great to have on simmer while you’re enjoying an event.


To make this crockpot meatballs recipe, you will need a 22 oz bag of frozen meatballs, a jar of chili sauce, grape jelly, light brown sugar, garlic powder and orange juice. You can also add diced green onions for garnish if you choose to do so.


To get started, you can place the frozen meatballs directly in the bottom of the slow cooker. If you wish, you can brown the meatballs in a skillet on the stove ahead of time, but this step is not necessary.

Next for this crockpot meatballs recipe you’ll want to add in the jar of chili sauce, as well as the grape jelly.


Then, add in the garlic powder, brown sugar and orange juice. Make sure to stir everything very well and completely cover all the meatballs. You will also want to stir occasionally while serving.

Place the lid on the crockpot and turn it on. The meatballs will be ready in 2 to 3 hours if you cook on high, or 4 to 6 hours on low.


When you and your family (or guests) are ready to eat, serve in small bowls. You can also garnish with sliced green onions if desired. To make enjoying this recipe easy, consider providing small appetizer forks or toothpicks.
