Crockpot Smoked Ham Potato Soup Recipe

This Crockpot Smoked Ham Potato Soup Recipe is the perfect food to make out of leftover Smoked Ham! I love to find ways to use leftover smoked meat in other recipes! Now I recently made a Smoked Ham, See the recipe – here and used the leftovers to make this recipe. My old lady is a huge crockpot fan and decided to take this Crockpot Potato Soup and make it with the Smoked Ham. I always buy the big cuts of meat just to make sure that I have leftover meat to make into other meals!
- Potatoes
- Smoked Ham
- Red Onion
- 3 Tbsp Butter
- Chicken Bouillon
- 6 Cups Water
- Basil
- Thyme
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1/4 Cup Flour
Spray your Crockpot with non-stick spray or use a crockpot liner. I made this in an 8-quart crockpot, this has become the size I use as a go-to makes a large amount and always extras for leftovers!
Put in your potato, onions, butter, bouillon (I use Better Than Bouillon Organic Chicken Base for ours), parsley, ham, and water.
Turn your slow cooker on low for at least four hours.
When you are close to a 1/2 hour before you are ready to eat mix your milk and flour. Add your milk and flour mixture to the crockpot and allow to continue to cook on low.
Serve and enjoy!

Instructions

- Peel and cube up potatoes for your soup. You can leave peels on but the kids prefer no peels.
- Put in your potato, onions, butter, bouillon (I use Better Than Bouillon Organic Chicken Base for ours), parsley, ham, and water.
