Yum! Spiced candied nuts, my favorite! :) You can pair these with your charcuterie board, with your pancakes or waffles or just as a healthy sweet snack. Do you like the sweet and spiced nuts?! I know I do! Ready?! Let's do this!

With a just a few simple ingredients you too can create these easy spiced pecans.

After frothing the egg white and vanilla, I added in the pecans to the bowl and tossed until the pecans were completely coated in the egg white mixture.

This is how the pecans looked after being tossed with the egg white mixture. Nice and frothy!

Take the sugar mixture and toss to completely coat the pecans. Place the pecans on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, gently toss the pecans and make sure they are separated and bake for another 20 minutes or until the pecans start to darken and are fragrant.

These spiced pecans are so delicious and not overly sweet. It also has a toasted flavors from being the oven for almost 40 minutes. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 lb. pecan halves (about 4 cups)
Instructions

1Preheat the oven to 300°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
In a small bowl, whisk together the sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
In a large bowl, whisk the egg white and vanilla extract until foamy, about 1 minute. Add the pecans into the egg mixture and stir until well coated. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the pecans and toss until fully coated. Spread pecans into a single even layer on the baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes. Stir and spread out evenly again, separating any pieces that stick together. Bake for another 20 minutes or until the nuts are starting to darken in color and are fragrant. Let the pecans fully cool in the pan on a wire rack (the sugar will harden as it cools). Break into individual pieces. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place for up to 2 weeks.
