Peanut butter bread is a really simple quick bread. It doesn't have eggs, butter, or oil, and you can make it with common pantry staples.

Peanut butter bread is a recipe from the early 1900s, but it got popular during the Great Depression. Families couldn't get eggs or butter, but they could get flour, sugar, and other dry baking supplies. It was originally published in the Settlement Cookbook.

This peanut butter bread is delicious on its own. You can also add chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit. The directions for those are in the blog post, so click over to see.

I really like these aluminum loaf pans for making breads. They aren't coated, so there's no coating to flake off into your food. They distribute the heat well, soo.
