If you're wondering how to level up your avocado toast and you're lacking ideas, let me reassure you that I got you covered. If you like spicy food or spicy additions to your meals then this recipe is for you!

For this recipe I used regular mushrooms you can find in supermarkets, however, you can substitute them for mushrooms of your choice. These regular mushrooms are my personal favourite!

Pro Tip: add a dash of lime or lemon juice on your avo toast - it goes so well with the spiciness!

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 6 mushrooms
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • salt + garlic powder to taste
  • 1 tsp olive oil
Instructions

Toast your bread and spread mashed avocado evenly on both slices.
Heat up a tsp of olive oil and fry thinly sliced mushrooms until they soften.
Add salt, garlic powder and chilli flakes - and make sure you coat mushrooms nicely.
Serve mushrooms on avo toast.
