Happy Makar Sankranti!

Sankranti' here means ‘transfer’, this day is considered as the transition day of Sun into Capricorn. Every year Makar Sankranti is celebrated in the month of January & this festival is dedicated to the Hindu religious sun god Surya. For farmers it is a time of harvesting. No wonder, sankranti is a multi- cultural festival which is celebrated with lot of festivity and joy all over India. On this festival, we mostly make Sesame Ladoos these ladoo are delicious and mouthwatering simply made with sesame seeds and jaggery.

Every year I make some or the other cuisine sweets , so this Sankranti made these instant Rava Coconut Ladoo with rava, fresh Coconut, ghee, malai, sugar, milk & cardamom powder. It's easy & quick dessert to make for any festive occasions.

Different state prefers different cuisine. There are varieties of traditional foods like Chikki, Gud, Til ka Ladoo, Pongal. It's a believe that Makar Sankranti is incomplete without the use of Til and Jaggery.
